Tom Baker Failure
I sent a LOR, SASE and a Photo late last week, Thursday 18th to be exact, to the address in the database. Today I received a letter from his office in my SASE.

Re: Tom Baker Failure
Glad I wrote to him a few years ago when he was a bit more accommodating (and a bit younger and less grumpy!) Annoying thing is I wrote to him once and he set me 3 or 4 of these back in the mail and I gave them all away except this one! Damn, should have kept a few of them!

Re: Tom Baker Failure
So glad I got mine last week, perfect timing by the looks of it...
I don't blame him at all though, due to the increased popularity of Doctor Who, and his appearance in the 50th anniversary episode I bet his mail has gone through the roof, which he most probably has to "pay" his agents more money to deal with, so at least this way he gets to make a few quid, and at his age good luck to him, I bet the BBC didn't pay him much!

Re: Tom Baker Failure
You can still buy signed pics of Tom from his site for an incredibly reasonable (I think, considering what you pay at events like comic-cons etc) £5 for a small, dedicated signed pic. For that price, despite already having a signed pic of Tom, I'll definitely think about getting a second one.

You can still send in your own item, but it must be a paper item. The guidelines and price for getting your item autographed vary based on its size. Just check out his official website for all the details.Mj0r wrote:D@mn! i was thinking to send something to him

Re: Tom Baker Failure
Following on from this conversation, I decided to stump up the fiver and see what I got from Tom on his site and, I have to say, it's probably better than the non-dedicated pics he used to send out. Really pleased and well worth the very small sum paid.See here:
