The postage in the UK actually increases tomorrow (31st March) so I'm not sure. You'll either need £1.28 or £2.15 worth of stamps on the envelope depending on its weight. 0-20g will be £1.28 and 20-60g will be £2.15

I'm not sure, I don't think so but not 100% sure, because I live in the UK I only ever use UK stamps when sending international, whereas I always put on USA Global Stamps on my SASE.
If they do work, $2.29 will only convert to like £1.30 anyway so you'll need to put about $3.60 on the SASE if the letter weighs more than 20g.
