...I'm used to writing letters to celebrities, not e-mails... How do you go about it? "Hey Joan I love you! By the way can I have an autographed photo sent to <my address>?"

I know I'm not the original poster, but I always write my emails like I write my letters. That's always been the best option for me personally, and have had lots of successes from emails this way always leave your address though, obviously good luck!

Congrats on a great success! Joan is amazing, she's so funny (I guess she kind of has to be since she's a comedian!) her handwriting is so lovely too. I got her autograph a few years ago, she was my first American celebrity reply!

That's exactly what I do! I've had 100% success with emails so far
