Sent: LOR and two DUkes of Hazzard trading cards on 8/9
Received: Letter from Lynne Norton, Catherine Bach's Personal Assistant suggesting I purchase an autographed photo from Catherine Bach's website for $20. At that time She would be happy to sign my trading cards. My SASE and cards were not returned and all correspondence was made out to a "Don" rather than my name which is "Dave".
Address used:

it is absolutely terrible of her to take that attitude with her fans. she needs to quit hiding behind some pathetic "assistant," who doesn't even know how to write down a person's correct name, and start to show some genuine appreciation for her fans - without which she would have never had an acting career. a greedy old wanker she is.

I have met Catherine in person and she is incredibly sweet. We have to remember that stars do not "owe" us a free autograph. For many stars, charging for an autograph is their only means of income. Just because someone does not sign for free, that does not give any of us the right to disparage them. I know, for me speaking, and I am ONLY speaking for me, if I was a true fan of someone and I had to pay for the autograph, I would not mind because I was a true fan.

i met her in person over the summer and she is a very nice person...i have health problems and i use a cane and she was even asking me what happened...i had to pay for a pic and to have my pic taken with her but her daughter took my pic twice so that was nice of them but there was even a guy that brought his brother in a wheelchair and she gave him a free picture because the guy couldn't speak...there was a long line of people and it was nice of her to have a few conversations....i also had to pay for john schneider too but they were basically $20 each and he also sells pics on his website and so does tom wopat...

First and foremost.....it is any individual's right to decline an opportunity to sign an autograph.
That is the individuals right, no questions asked.
It is another matter entirely hold my items hostage assuming I'll buy their items and to misspell my name on said items. Lack of professionalism IMHO.
Letter of reply being sent to Ms. Bach's "Enterprise"

$20 seems very reasonable for Catherine's autograph but to hold on to your cards like that is shady business
I would send them a email and demand your items back

$20 is very reasonable. Here is a picture of mine that I just received today (9/27/12). This is the first autograph that I have purchased in many years. Well worth it.
