Do you think it'd ruin my chances if I don't include an IRC or U.K. stamps?
Maybe a few US dollars would suffice?

This is just my opinion, but especially where directors and their "team" are concerned... directors actually don't have tons of money nor do the people working for them. You're lucky if they have an organized publicity system that helps sort their stuff, and in this case, he does - but converting US money into UK money COSTS money. A few dollars after converted probably wouldn't pay for the postage, and would be a huge hassle.
To be safe, I would simply go to the post office website and order a few IRCs.
I know a couple years ago they sold IRCs online, and it's fast, affordable and worth it in showing that you really do want a response back. Of course, it is costly in the long but if you really want a response I think that's your best bet.
