Sent a LOR, SASE, two photos (one self made in photoshop), and my astonishing x-men comic. I also sent him an origami firefly ship and in my letter I mentioned how much I enjoyed his work and how pivotal a lot of his shows were in my life when times were rough for me.

Sending is always worth a try. It could have been because my request was a little different from my others because I included that origami firefly or something in my letter could have stood out. I don't know. I am just really glad that my sincerity and devotion of his work was acknowledged in some way.

I loved Joss Whedon's work on Firefly

I'd love to send my Avengers poster to him, but there's just no way I could risk it at this point :/

I bought one of Joss' Firefly books for my brother for Christmas. Sent it to the address, along with prepaid return postage, asking Joss to sign it and return it. That was 4 months ago. Not a word. Even if he's too busy to sign a fan's book, couldn't he at least return it to me? Postage is already paid for!
So now it looks like I'm out the cost of the book, the cost of mailing the book, and the cost of return postage. What a waste!
