Was very pleased today to get a nice packet from my favorite author. I sent him a letter on May 26, 2011 along with a book cover jacket to be signed to the following
correct address:
Dean Koontz
PO Box 9529
Newport Beach, California 92658-9529
USA
Also enclosed was a copy of the "Useless News" fan newsletter and a copy of "Dean Koontz - Most Frequently Asked Questions." What a great person! Truthfully, I didn't think I was going to hear from him so this was an extremely nice surprise. Have a great day everybody and thank you Mr. Koontz for responding.
Envelope (postdated on Nov 4, 2011):
Letter with a nice personalized blurb:

Thank you. I see that you have had a good bit of success with collecting autographs yourself. Congrats.

This was several years back, but I sent Mr. Koontz a paperback copy of one of his books to be signed. It was an older copy, and apparently it was damaged in the mail. Mr. Koontz actually replaced it with a brand new copy, and sent a very nice letter. He is definately a class act.

I sent a couple of old paperbacks and some home-made bookplates a couple of years back , and got them all signed , also an advanced reading copy of his next book , a hardback of another one and some of his own bookplates as well - my best ever reply
