Hi Ben,

Great success! I will be sending Charlie a request soon. I live in the U.S. - how many IRCs do you recommend I send for the return package (on a 3 ounce (or 80 grams package)?

Thanks,
Paul

Currently the value of an IRC in the UK is 67p, so you'll need four IRCs. Airmail letter 80g will cost £2.51, (or £2.07 for airmail small packet - see below). Up to 100g is £3.19 (or £2.07 airmail small packet).

If there's a possibility that it might go slightly over 80g you can still get it back using four by writing "Airmail/Small Packet" on the return envelope, and either print a customs form to the envelope (ftp://ftp.royalmail.com/Downloads/publi ... m/cn22.pdf ) or write "Customs Declaration", with the relevant details onto the bottom r/h corner. You need to either tick or write out the bits that say "other", weight 0.1kg, value zero and sign it (leave the date blank).

Or trade stamps with somebody, it'll cost you a lot less and be easier for Mr Watts.
