It was actually very interesting. In my letter I mentioned that I collect Monaco postage stamps. I was happy with the photo to put in my collection. Several weeks after the photo came, another envelope from Monaco arrived. In it was a beautiful red stock book with the Monaco coat of arms in gold on the front. Inside, it was filled with Monaco stamps. Also, there was a little card from the Monaco Philatelic Museum that had another set of stamps in it. There was a letter (in French), from the President in charge of the Palace's stamp collections, that said (roughly) "In response to your letter of May 12, I am pleased to give you and exceptional title of which only a few were made. Some stamps issued by the Principality of Monaco. By your good reception, I remain sincerely yours."



Boy, was I thrilled! Better than a photo any day!

That's amazing. Are you going to send a thank you note?

I was thrilled with the stamps! Very unexpected and very appreciated. That they even bothered to take the time to do it. I did send a thank you note! We actually send thank you notes to many of the responses we get, especially when they do a personal response of any sort. We really appreciate them taking any time to answer our requests. It just makes it so nice when they send a nice response.

However, never received anything like this stamp book before! Fantastic!
