I am very sorry to tell you that those signatures are probably not from Tim Allen, but secretarial. :( It seems as if he did not sign anything by himself since Covid-19 through the mail... check other signatures of him and you will see those are not his.

I have received three autographs today as well (also via his own production company) and they do not match up to other TTM autographs I got from him years ago. He might have changed his signature as well, but in other forums people also say that probably since April/May 2020 his company sends out secretarial signatures...

Very disappointing.

He was a great signer over all the years, so I can't believe he stopped because of too many fanmail. It is more likely that it has to do with the pandemic. I will never understand why someone would send out secretarial signatures... then it would be better to receive no reply than any faked signatures. :D My opinion.

Welcome to the world of TTM...Glad you're up to speed. It's the risks we all take and it cost me very little so it's not the first or last. 'Thank you Tim' is a standard remark I leave in all of my posts. When I feel it is real or someone truly put effort into the autograph, I expand on those remarks in my posts here on how much it means to me. I'm not as bothered about it as you seem about the ones you received.. It would be naïve to believe everything we receive is 100% authentic. I am very cognoscente of the probability of this happening with any major celebrity. You're not telling me anything as you seem to suggest you are. Knowing this information, was okay sending anyway. As with anything online, take everything you read with a grain of salt. A lot of blowhards on the internet. I'm comfortable in the risks I take and not in this for the money.

BTW, I did check his signature prior to the sending out as I do with all celebrities to see the tendencies of items accepted. Not new to this game. When several reputable authentication services have verified a variety of his signatures (seen at least 3 different) no one knows for certain what the true signature is. Often times, you'll get the celebs who BS and scribble fast just to get the job done. When they're getting paid, you'll get a neat, full signature more often than not. So coronavirus, fan mail load, money, autopen, secretarial, etc there are so many factors to consider and not sure why people feel the need to explain this to everyone as if they're the only ones smart enough to have it figured out. No need to spam every thread of Tim Allen with this claim to knowledge as if we don't know already or going to change the outcome somehow.

LOOOOOOOOOOL, according to your reply you are not that smart, sorry. :D It was not my intention to make you feel dumb at all... and I did not spam anywhere, I have posted this twice... so you don't know what you are talking about. But I am glad that you don't bother to get fake signatures... I thought collecting autographs makes only sense if they are authentic. My mistake. And no, I am also not new to this, collecting for approx. 17 years now...

And with Tim's signature it is pretty easy to tell if real or not, there are a few marks you can find out. But if you don't care, that is okay, no problem.

Happy (fake) collecting, man. :)

Grade school level insults from internet bad asses who misconstrue everything to fit their agenda when they get called out, gotta love them... I've have 28 years in this hobby and it's funny when a Johnny come lately feels the need to explain how TTM works. If you've done it 17 years you've gotten fakes/secs too!! Just registered to tell me and some other guy we got a phony signature from Tim Allen lol Next time save your unsolicited opinion for someone who actually cares to hear your input and stop reviving old threads. If I haven't made myself clear to you by now, I didn't ask your opinion. Unless you have something relevant to add except baiting, I suggest you move along and stop bringing my old thread up. Only petty people come with the motives to instigate on a fanmail site. Between this and spammers, pushing down all the new successes to the back pages. You do you, my approach is none of your concern. Don't need anyone's approval or validity. People can take it or leave it.

Since this is a FORUM, I will surely post my opinion - if you care or not. Expecially if people read those kind of "success" stories which are none... I think even then it makes more sense to post that it is a fake and not authentic. That is what this forum is for. Posting a success which is none, is more than senseless... that is why I have posted at all.

Do what you want and care about whatever you want. And sure, since you have 10 more years expericence than me, makes you god and me a nobody. :D Like I have said, happy (fake ) collecting. I am out now on this thread...
