  Cal Ripken Jr Disappointment
6 Month wait!!!
Very disappointed coming from a fellow Marylander.
The Iron Man did not sign my Orioles Baseball and 3 TC.
He sent a signed letter explaining why he can't sign the sent items.
Check out the 3rd pic for the letter.

This is obviously a pre-typed letter, but I can definitely see someone writing “He had time to write the letter, but not sign the ball?” XD

I got his autograph back in 2011 at that address. Of course I pretended to be a kid in order to get it. Got lucky doing that as he has never signed through the mail. Didn't want to disappoint the "kid" I guess. Have to play dirty to get an autograph sometimes. Even got the real authentic Wayne Gretzky autographs through the mail back then by pretending to be a 12 year old.

:D Nice one.
I was just hoping he'll be more accommodating to fellow Marylanders.
How can they attract fans from other states if they can't even take care of the locals?
Lol.
I'll try HOF Mike Mussina, Orioles pitcher.

Mussina is a pretty good signer, but I think it’s either $5 or $10 per item if I remember correctly

Wow.
I just mailed the Orioles BB today.
Hoping for the best.
$5-$10? Not bad for a HOF.
Anyways, I'll wait and update you guys.
Thanks.

Yup  , I guess he had hundreds of these pre-typed letters and have the sec insert it on returned unsigned items. The signature tho looks like fresh ink, pre-signed? Idk. Still disappointed, planning to sell his other cards in Ebay. No fun collecting these type of celebs.

This helps me sometimes. I'm not 12, but my letter writing skills and handwriting are so bad that I'm sure they come across as being written by a kid.

As far as the note, I bet they have many different versions of this typed up with the words "ball", "card", "picture", "bat", "glove" and his PR people just insert the one that fits.
