He personalized it, just like I asked. :-)

He did cross out his name on the return envelope, but I took a picture of it anyway.

I sent two times a 8x10 photo of Sam Elliott with a SASE envelope 2 months ago, I sent these pictures to get autographed by Sam Elliott for my sick wife, I was doing this for her, can anybody help me. Sincerely Douglas Wittman

Sometimes celebs respond and sometimes they don't. More often not. Try to remember that celebs don't "owe" you anything. There is no rhyme or reason. Just because a few people got success doesn't mean you will. I have sent out 1000+ requests over the years and have received about 150 successes. That's about 10-20% success rate. Just keep trying and hoping.

I just wanted to make to tell him, the older he looks, the better he looks.
