Got a letter back from Tippi Hedren today saying she only signs for a 25 dollar donation and returned my original donation which I thought was quite rude. I will probably try again.

I thought this was rude because she had sent back my donation

So are you mad because she did not keep your donation or that she did not sign your item.

I don't think its rude, I actually think its quite considerate. She charges $25 to her foundation, has for years, that's very well known. She sent back your donation so you had the option of a) sending in the proper amount for her autograph or b) choosing not to. You think it would have been more polite of her to keep your money and send you back a letter saying you have to send her more for her to sign? I think what's rude is you trying to get around her donation policy by undercutting her charity and hoping she'll just sign anyway.

You do not even know how much money I sent, I took a risk of losing all the money I could even bet that it was her secretary and not even her who sent it back

So you would of been happy if tippi kept your money and then told you if want her autograph to send her another donation of 25 dollars. I think she was being nice to send your donation back I don't think she sent it back to offend you.
