Congrats. Last year, in a Rolling Stone article (written by rocker Patti Smith), she noticed a stack of photos waiting for Johnny to sign. Now, that seems odd to me that if he DID send out pre-prints or autopens, then why would the stack of photos be mentioned? When people send more than one item to be signed, and they're AP, then more often than not, they sign them all. You don't have to set up an AP machine for different photos. You place them down, secure the photo and hit print. AP, all signed; real, one or two signed. Of course, I cannot prove it, but if I find a copy of that article, I will give everyone a papercut with it who argues the point. I challenge anyone, who claims something is an AP, to send off the item in question and have it authenticated. I'd love for someone to send off a Johnny Depp and have it come back as real. So, since no one can prove either way whether an item is real or PP or AP, how about we all keep our guesses to ourselves.

Well do you really believe that? And no, this is a public forum, so if you wanna keep your "guesses" to yourself, YOU CAN. But no one has to agree to that ridiculous option. ESP if every single Johnny Depp looks exactly the same. Question: how many autographs do you have? (Just outta curiosity .)

Guess mt reply struck a nerve with you. As I recall, the original poster NEVER asked for anyones thoughts on AUTHENTICITY! Some people like to have the dream of owning one of Johnny Depps autographs. Much like Santa Claus, not real but everyone believes to the point of decorating with him. You probably killed the Easter Bunny for your kids, if you're even out of puberity. Nothing struck a nerve, TRUST. I always reply to members when they ask me somerhing. Gimme the chance to reply though before saying a wrong comment like that And you are delusional if you think you struck a nerve. lol! Killed the dream of Easter Bunny (which I would never do) is very different than Johnny Depp. This is a public place where people post what they think..And I didn't start the authenticity part of this thread either (Twelveby12 and Ozzman2 did! So don't blame me for their actions)..But the E. Bunny and Johhny: a very good compare ;) And I am very good @ this hobby. Only had 5 RTS envelopes in 6 years (so your dream of me gettings RTS won't happen Boo.) with over 600 successes. SO I'M HAPPY.

Yeah, Ozzman didn't start it, but who cares. And I wasn't singling you out, dancingirl1. All I was trying to share was the article I read and how everyone has their opinion about authenticity. To CLARIFY issues like this, I was expressing a wish for one of you people to back up what you say. If its AP, prove it. If it's a ghost signed, prove it. If it can't be proven to be otherwise, don't crush someones dream. There are plenty of children that use this site, and their thrilled to get something from their favorite celebrity. It's not ANYONES place to express their "opinions" on authenticity, unless asked. Twelveby12 started the authenticity issue, but thats beside the point and doesn't matter. Were those your Johnny Depp successes you posted on here? Yeah I can see one is an autopen. I know it wasn't an autopen because I could actually see the shakiness in her writing. That tells me she signs for some, but not all. Maybe Johnny is so swamped with how many requests he recieves, that he sends AP to the ordinary fans who write him and real ones that actually touch his heart. But, you know, even when I KNOW someone has an AP, I don't say anything.

Couple things:

1. I think by the pic, I did prove what everyone was saying.
2. Nope, they weren't mine. Those are past success (2011-Jan. 2012-ish)
3. I'm not a big fan of his, so I wouldn't waste my time. 'Scissorhands' though. ;)
4. And IDK about Mary. I never reseached her sig and technique. Congrats though!
5. I agree that everyone has the right to their own opinion, but sometimes like: ROBIN WILLIAMS (Sec) and the FRIENDS Cast (PP): the evidence speaks for itself.
6. Maybe Johnny does sign some...(rarely) ,but maybe he does. (I will agree with that.)

I don't think in my main post to you, I said anything harmful and rude. I was asking about your successes to see if you were a rookie or vet. That's all. We could agree to disagree on that topic though.

It is impossible to argue that multiple items, signed with the exact same signature, exact dimensions and pen movements, are authentic.
