Oh, nonsense. I once sat at a poolside table with Elena Verdugo for an entire afternoon chatting with her while she was signing autographs and answering mail. And every autograph I watched her sign--including the one she gave me--looked precisely like the signature shown here, on this thread. She told me she signs each autograph herself, upon request, although on this occasion she was charging $5 per signature and donating the proceeds to Mexican earthquake relief. And there wasn't an assistant in sight.
