Hey!
Today i went to Newt Gingrich book signing. I got at the store at 4:00pm and Newt got there at 7:00pm.
He spoke about his new book "Valley Forge", and a great speaker he really is!!

After about a half-hour of speaking he answered a couple of questions. My question was "Are you going to read gorge w Bush's book decision points"? He answered "I Plan on reading it sometime soon".
Other people asked him about Obama, war and such.

After he answered questions, he went up stairs to sign books. I was about the 4th person on line, and the lady that worked there said "There will be no posing for pictures". Newt said "Come next to me and take a picture" lol So i went right next to him and another staff member took the picture. Right after he took the picture, the lady said "Noo nooo noo pictures" lol..oh well i was lucky! He signed and personalized the book. Great night!!!!!

Congrats buddy. He strikes me as an odd character,but if you're a fan, it's great you met him. The question must be asked though: what were his parents thinking when they named him ''newt''?lol.

If Newt himself didnt say to come take a picture with him, than i would respect that.
Im just so glad he did say to come next to him for a picture lol

He's running in 2012? Oh dear....

I have always wondered what the house speaker does? I know there is a big deal about John Boener replacing Pelosi as speaker,but what does he now do?

Yes! lol I think his job was to speak about the current issues.
He just writes books, and still trys to be out there haha.
He said at the signing that he will make an announcement in march if he is running.

He always says he is going to run, and never does. This seems to be the case again as he keeps turning down appearances and invitations for political functions in key early primary states around the country.

Not a big fan of his politics; some of the things he has said about Obama recently are just nuts. But he is a great historian and does seem like a kind person. Congrats on the success!
