That was IT. The team changed hotels this year to our least favorite place & to top it off, I was taken by surprise when I got a call early in the morning of Boxing Day telling me they were practicing... so I had no time to go & collect stuff up for all the guys I wanted/needed. With no commons to target, my hounding options were limited to the bigger players. Luckily, they are back in another week or so.

I realllllly hope this turns out to be the worst signing team of the year. It would be disturbing if there is a worse signing team. Here for 3 total days. 3 practices, the game & departure, a total of 8 shots at them (some people took as many as 10 shots if you include waiting at the worst hotel in town for them going to & coming from dinner)...and no one finished a team signed item. I myself managed to not get a single autograph from 4 players that I had items for...over 3 days. if it werent for Bobrovsky & Briere I would have been utterly disgusted with the entire franchise. How bad was it? The COACH denied more people than he signed for the 1 day he did sign, and 1 of their assistant coaches griped on day 2 (after only being asked once by about 6 people) that he signed for everyone already.

I was, in a word, THRILLED when they were finally leaving.

I was there too and the amount of people there weren't exactly encouraging them to sign. I went for Carter and Richards and got an autograph and a picture with Carter so 50/50 wasn't too bad.

There was only about 30 people there. That is far from a big crowd.
Go down there for the Leafs or Habs on a weekend game, then you'll see a big crowd.
An average everyday, non-Christmas break team attracts 15-20 people as it is.

I really dont know.
I have a theory, but its unsubstantiated.
Basically, 1 of the paps (who also hounds) that they arent fond of had the same set up (single photo on a piece of cardboard) & they thought we either were together, or originally thought when they grabbed it that it was his, because a few moments later they also took his away too, after swatting it out of the crowd 3 or 4 times.. I cant say for certain, its just my theory. Because after he got 1 finally, the guard basically told him to come over to them & was basically treated like he was being put in the penalty box in a hockey game.
Like I said though, cant confirm that. All I know is, I will not be so naive as to let them just take it next time. I actually thought he was taking it to get it signed, because any time I have ever had a guard grab something from me prior thats been the result.

sorry for that, i would never let security take my stuff, especially since the items i try to get signed are DVD/Bluray covers, the only time i would let any security guard take my item, would be at a scheduled auto signing 4 them 2 hand my items 2 the celeb, or if they were willing 2 help me get an autograph
