Like eug, I also attended the Melbourne premiere of Elizabeth: The Golden Age which was held at the Rivoli Cinemas on Sunday evening.
The weather wasn't very nice that day as it was raining. This was probably one of the reasons there wasn't too many fans lining up on the red carpet (and plus the red carpet was shorter than usual). I ended up getting a great spot right at the front near the photographers and media.
Geoffrey, Abbie and Shekhar Kapur (the director) didn't arrive until about after 6:30pm (the premiere was scheduled at 5:30pm) and I managed to get autographs from all of them and photos with both Geoffrey and Abbie. I also was able to get autographs and photos with two guests who were also attending the premiere - namely Australian celebrities Bud Tingwell and Shelly Craft.
As there were not too many people waiting, both Geoffrey and Abbie were kind enough to personalise autographs as well. While Geoffrey was signing for me I was able to have a quick chat with him. As I have a rather uncommon name, while he was personalising my photo he actually asked me if I had written to him before?!? I had previously written to him on two occasions about a year apart and had received replies to both my requests back in August. It was really nice that he sort of remembered me. He then asked me a bit about myself

I have removed my name from the autographs I have received, so apologies for the blank patches on the photos:

Btw ... the security guard was kind enough to give me one of the Elizabeth posters after Geoffrey, Abbie and Shekhar had gone in
