Elizabeth: the Golden Age

Hey everyone,
I went to the Elizabeth: the Golden Age premiere at the Rivoli in Melbourne, Australia.
It was freeeezing today, so the turnout was shocking with only about 25 people attending the red carpet arrivals!
Some local celebs began the preceedings, then Geoffrey Rush and Abbie Cornish signed poster, photos, had photos, chatted and were just really really lovely to the people who had turned out to support them.
I was lucky enough to get Abbie and Geoffrey to sign a pamphlet and also a full size movie poster that i just took from the display!?
I also got a photo with Geoffrey.

You attended the premiere too!?! I was there also, but right up the end with the photographers.

The weather was terrible though, but I think there were more than 25 people there

Wow!! Congrats, eug!!! Geoffrey and Abbie were both extremely nice when they were here in Toronto back in September!!! Both signing LOADS and taking some pictures with fans also. Golly, that's an extremely nice poster!!! I wish they had ones at the Toronto film festival that I could've stole...

If any Aussie member plans on going to the Atonement premiere (will probably be sometime before Christmas since it's due to be released December 26) Keira Knightley is supposed to attend, but anyways, if someone wants to "steal" a poster I'd be MOST grateful!!!

were u up with the Pirates fans?
i was right up the other end, like the first group to meet them.
more than 25 actually there to see the stars? hmm...not sure. there were obviously more inside the cinema, but yeah anyway. it was an awesome evening.
Did you stay for the movie as well? i thought it was brilliant, but ive heard mixed reviews.

I've also heard that Keira will be coming downunder for the attonement premiere, but only to Sydney. unfortunately i live in Melbourne so yeah...it's disappointing that if she comes she'll probably only go there.

Yeah, I was right up the end where the the Pirates fans were (at the end after them where the corner was). After seeing your photo with Geoffrey I know exactly where you were

I did stay for the movie . It was pretty good

I don't think it's been mentioned here, but as there were many spare seats in the cinema where the film was being shown and not too many people on the red carpet ... the cinema staff invited us in to see the movie too after the stars had gone in even though we weren't initially invited .

Oh, that's a shame! You never know, maybe you'll be lucky and she'll come to Melbourne too! I mean she WILL be in the country if she's going to Sydney!! Congrats again on your IP success!! {thumb2}

the pirates fans were really nice, i spoke to them afterwards. they had been to the pirates premiere somewhere in the US and were just trying to get the last signature (after orlando and johnny depp) on their memorabilia!
and when i said 25 ppl i meant fans, not the celebs walking the carpet.
anyway, can't wait to see your pics.
