Remembering Princess Diana

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the beloved Princess Diana of Wales death.
On the morning of August 31st 1997 Princess Diana and her fiancée Dodi al-Fayed were involved in a tragic car accident that killed both of them, the Princess and her billionaire lover. The crash is believed to be caused by a paparazzi chase after the couple left Dodi’s father’s hotel, The Ritz Paris. The pair had stopped by the hotel to have dinner, after dinner the couple left the hotel in a rented Mercedes-Benz, driven by an employee of the hotel, they were headed to al-Fayed townhouse across the city. The chauffeur was also killed in the crash. After leaving the hotel, the car was followed by a mob of paparazzi cars hoping to snap a photo of the Princess. The chauffeur was severely drunk and driving over 180 km per hour, when the car enter a tunnel, and slammed into a concrete pillar. Dodi and the driver were killed on impact but the Princess and her bodyguard were still living when a doctor who had witnessed the crash arrived. The doctor, not knowing who was in the Mercedes, saw that the bodyguard was hurt less then the Princess and thought that he had a better chance of surviving, and gave the body guard medical attention before the Princess. When an ambulance arrived an hour later, the Princess had to be cut from the car using the jaws of life. She was rushed to a hospital, where doctor learned that she had massive internal bleeding because a major artery in her chest was cut. After performing surgery the doctors were able to stop the bleeding, but the damage had already been done. The Princess’ heart suddenly stopped. The doctors tried to revive her but were unable too…
Princess Diana had died.
