Which envelopes do you use?
Which envelopes do you use?
Just wondering which envelopes you guys use and which size for 8x10 pictures? I'm getting ready to send out my first batch of requests i just have to pick out some envelopes first. I was going to get some MEAD 10x13 envelopes and then use a 9x12 as the SASE would that work? Also for this size envelope would i use stamps or would it be shipped like a package? How many stamps or how much would it cost for both of these? Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advanced!
Re: Which envelopes do you use?
That sounds right - 9x12 for the SASE (photo, sheet protector, cardboard) and the 10x13 for the sendout. I've done two Global Forever and a Forever First-Class on the SASE, but I've noticed some having an additional few cents added by the sender - so I'd go with three Global Forever for the SASE.
The sendout usually goes as a First-Class Parcel (because it's marked Do Not Bend, and as a bonus, has a tracking number.) Usually starts at $2.64 or $2.80-something. The sendouts are the ones you want to bring to the Post Office for postage.
I usually get the envelopes with the self-seal flaps.
