Also, they don't have a 'plastic smell' like it said in one post. I got these at Wal-Mart but they were the only good brand I saw. {up}

I have used those for years and they are archival safe and fine (and cheap too!)

I have a book signed, how do I prevent it from damages? I have it by years now... I keep it in my room.

Are there any downsides to using Mounting Putty? I use it to stick the note card to a backing before putting it into my binder.

Wrap the dust jacket (if it's hard cover) with a Mylar sheet. Store the book on its side rather than on its end to prevent compressing the bottom edge of the spine. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.

Thanks for the help, but my book isn't a hard cover, I got it when an author came to my school for signing, my sister drew it with crayons and stuff, I would say that the only thing not drawn or damaged is the page he signed on, I just want to keep that page safe since I knew how precious it is by now. It costs alot too for a storybook like it!
