If you live in UK ... HELP ME!
Okay, so a bombshell was dropped on me yesterday. I found out that sending abroad cost alot more postage, but in previous letters I only sent a second class stamp. Now I had about 8 different stamps on my two abroad envelopes when I went to the post office this morning.
My question is: What do others in the UK do when sending abroad? And what stamp should I put on an envelope that contains:
-Questionaire
-LOR
-1 or 2 pics
-SAE
-irc
Thanks. I also have another question, while I'm at it. If I send within the UK, with the above contents, what UK postage should I use.
Please help, as this could determine whether or not I will remain an autograph collector.

To send the stuff you've named to Europe will cost 78p (it could be 72p, I forget offhand)
Just a letter and IRC to Europe would be 50p.
To send it anywhere else will be pushing the £1 mark and likely going over it.
The above statements are based on using standard C5 envelopes.

So what stamps should I use?
Re: If you live in UK ... HELP ME!
Whatever ones the post office give you when you get it weighed.

Hi!
I put 2 IRC'S that are 95p each and a SAE.
Take the letter to the Post Office and they will give you the right ammount of stamps.
Any more questions just ask!

Well I actually never send stamps or put anything on the SAE I send.
I always buy dollars and send that so the person at the other end can add the postage. Sometimes I have had my SAE back and the prices had been vastly different even though they contained the same items, so that's why I send dollars so they can get the right postage costs.

Thanks for your help about sending abroad.
I have one more question:
-When I put the above contents (first post) in my envelope and send it within the UK, what postage should I put on the envelope to get there (not the SASE)?

Re: If you live in UK ... HELP ME!
That could most likely be covered by just one 1st class stamp I think, (if it's in an A5 envelope) but if you are in any doubt, use a large stamp or have it weighed at your post office.aamir wrote:Thanks for your help about sending abroad.

Good luck, and hope you hear back.

I would get it weighed at the Post Office.

Thanks for all your help.
