Via Venue?

I dont really understand Via Venue. Realistically how long should it take? Shouldnt it only take a mazximum of 3 weks or something short? What could happen that it takes forever? ( I am talking about if you know the band has recieved your letter )

For example I sent stuff to a band who were playing on Feb 1st in London and I live in Ireland.

It havnt recieved an RTS and my address was on the back of the envelope. The poeple at the vbenue said the band would get my letters etc.

What happens when Via Venure takes ages? Surely they would send it back to me if the band were not going to sign or there was a problem?

Im just curious! Any help would be great!

it's really up to the band if they sign or not vv
some bands/artist's won't take long but other's might take afew month's, just be patient. The band/artist might have taken it back to there agencies instead of signing there and then
And also the band/artist's management are in charge of if they sign or not

Just because you send to a venue doesn't mean that the band will sign at the venue and send it from there. I wrote to Dolly Parton VV in the UK and six months later I recieved an envelope from the USA. You just have to be as patient as when writing to an agency etc {thumb2}

Oh ye im not giving out or complaining I was just wondering! I was talking about those kinda success where u mentioned you got one after 60 days! Ijust think its strange you know?

And if the band take it back with them to sign its more expensive in the long run!

Was the band Paramore at Brixton?

If so, I don't think Brixton is a good place to write to send off for fanmail.
But that's my opinion.

sometimes celebs play catch-up with all their fanmail when they aren't on tour. Others stay on top of all the mail they receive when they get it. it really depends on the celeb, or the venue that you write to. I did receive a VV request about a year later, I'd forgotten I'd sent it. The shortest I've had for a VV was about 4 days!

I emailed them and reply was they pass on fan mail. I hope it´s true because I also sent a letter to Mika there
