The best successes are the ones where I do the research and find someone that hasn't been heard from in years. I have many in my collection like that including Larry Hovis who was teaching drama in a small college in Texas.

My favorite is that of Joy Page Orr. She was one of the players in Casablanca, and fell off of the earth after the late 1950's. I found that her son was a producer and contacted him. He gave me an address for her and she signed two items for me. He told me that she usually didn't do that. She passed away earlier this year, leaving Madeleine LeBeau as the last survivor from Casablanca.

Well said, it's the ones you have to research, and often times the ones you think you have no chance getting, but somehow get. That is the epitomy of a success.

I LOVE Larry Hovis in Hogan's Heroes. I was so sad that he died before I really was into the TV show.

My favorite success is one that I have been trying to get for a long time: Deanne Bray. After 5 or 6 tries I FINALLY got her to sign my photos.

Lithuanian Ice Dancers, Margarita Drobiazko & Povilas Vanagas added a DVD of a tour performance that they were in to the photos I sent them to sign.

Hi! ;-)

Well, I think all of my successes are my best, since I treasure them all. :) But, if I have to pick my most unique, surprising success, it would be my Daniel Craig authentic signed & personalised autograph. I sent to him after he started sending out preprints last year (2007). I honestly expected to receive a preprinted photo back. But, when I opened the envelope and saw the words "Casino Royale" at the bottom of the photo, I thought "Oh, just another preprint...". But, to my surprise, it was in fact the usual preprint photo, but Daniel personalised it to me and signed "DC"! My mom and brother was in the car with me, and I was just like "he signed it authentically, he signed it authentically!". So that was quite special to me. :D

Thanks,
zanne
