They allege that they can although I know of people who regularly do this and often get replies with them. Personally I don't want to risk losing a response due to trying to save a few pence.

I think we all have quiet spells. Might be worth posting yourself an identical envelope to your SSAE's just to make sure it reaches you?

I also find that I seem to get a higher response rate with smaller photo's. I was averaging around 60% when I used to send 10x8s. In the last year I've switched to 6x4s and am now averaging 70%. That might not be anything to do with the photo size, but worth mentioning! Maybe large pics are more of ...

Honestly, there are no definite answers! You can send whatever size envelopes you like - use the smallest that your items will fit in and check the postage, as large letters cost more than small letters, etc. You don't have to include your own photo for them to sign, but you'll find that some people...
