Carl Erskine
Sent a baseball, pen, SASE, and letter to Carl Erskine at his IN address. Did not send money, but asked him to sign and also add "1955 World Series Champs" and the dates of his two no-hitters. Sent this out on 10/23/13. I received the ball back on 11/7/13 with all insriptions added as requ...

Re: Joe sakic RTS
I'm thinking of maybe trying to resend in about a year or so. I originally sent out the index card as somewhat of a feeler to see if the address was correct and if he would sign at all since feedback on him seems to be 50/50.

Re: Joe Sakic RTS
What did you send? I'm curious because I just had a puck returned to me in the same fashion as your RTS. I was really disappointed because I had sent an index card a month or so earlier and he signed that and returned it within a week. I had used the index card as a feeler and hoped it would lead to...

Sent a puck, pen, sase, and lor to address in database on 10/25/13. Received back today RTS written on it. Also had a sticker from post office marked refused. Kind of disappointed because I had sent an index card back in 9/13 and received it back in about 7 days. Maybe he only signs flats and could ...

Sending a bat ttm and sending a football ttm
Hey all,
I'm looking for tips on sending a baseball bat ttm and for sending footballs ttm. In particular, I'd like to find out what type of package is best, best way to pack it, whether or not to send another box for the return trip, and how much postage to use.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Re: Red schoendienst RTS
He is doing a public signing in St. Louis in early December through the St. Louis sports collectors group. Signed ball for $35 which I believe includes the ball. I'm planning on doing that instead of trying to send to him at home and run the risk of a rts or worse. I had heard that he might sign if ...

Re: Peyton Manning - Failure
How much postage did you use? Also, did you also supply a box for return shipping? Supply shipping labels and return postage and packing tape?

Strange and a bit frustrating at the same time
So, I've recently gotten back into collecting autographs, which I originally started as a kid. So far, I've sent out about 30 requests (give or take) for autographs on index cards and used a SASE. So far, i've only gotten back 2 (Joe Sakic and Chris Chelios). Most of my requests have gone to basebal...
