UK POST DELAYS

Hello, Just to let you know, that there is a post delay in Britain. My local newspaper said that we will be receiving mainly junk mail. ALSO TODAY IS THE OFFICIAL 'DEADLINE' FOR SENDING 2nd CLASS POST BEFORE CHRISTMAS. According to the BBC, 18 Dec is the deadline for 2nd class post and 21 Dec is the...

Re: If you live in UK ... HELP ME!

I think that within in the UK you should always use 2nd class only. I read in the paper recently that 1st class post doesn't actually get to the destination any quicker any more!

KEN!

Hi, Just wondering if you'd seen the video for the new song called 'Ken' by Harry Hill and William Roache. It's hilarious! It was made as a tribute to Ken Barlow (Bill Roache), the longest-running character in the longest-running soap Coronation Street (he was in the first episode!) The clip below i...

Re: AUTOGRAPHS JARGON

NO everyone calls SAE a stamped addressed envelope. in Britain. I know well-educated people who know that it is a stamped addressed envelope. If you look in British magazines, it says sometimes 'stamped addressed envelope' if it is letting you send off for something through the post. Believe me, for...

COMEDY

Hello, I love classic comedy and I was wondering if you'd like a thread just to chat about comedy!!! I'm not too keen on all the new comedy - I always think it's too much about shocking the audience and putting on silly voices, whereas 1970s sitcoms and sketch shows provided real humour. Post your v...

Re: PBJ Management

I am not saying that PBJ are completely rubbish. I have got autographs back from Lenny Henry and Reeves & Mortimer, but all of the pictures are massive and take up a full page in my album.

When they reply to emails they are OK.

PBJ Management

Just to tell you, PBJ Management will always send you a large preprinted autograph and they never respond to emails.

Re: AUTOGRAPHS JARGON

no. SAE is stamped addressed envelope. We don't use SASE generally in Britain, but I think British people on this site have started using it as most people on this site are from America and Australia , so that we all understand each other.
