Does anyone have a kind of 'sample' of what they write in the emails. I mean do you just go right out and ask for a fanpack? Something along the lines of ; "I'm a big fan of ________, would it be possible for you to send me a fanpack. My address is below." Or do you write it more like, a s...

I was in Catalonia, a bit inland of Barcelona.

I don't think I could've coped with 40+ degrees either! It was generally around 33, which is ok, and there was only one day where it went to 37 degrees and wasn't particularly pleasent to be in the sun. I got a nice tan though!

I think it depends on who you're writing to. Some people sign via an agency and people have had lots of successes, so their is a good chance you'll get something back from their. I don't think their would really be an advantage of trying via venue for those kind of people, as you could be more sure ...

Yeah I just Googled the concert venue, and as DanTheMan said, most of them have a website with a contact section.

I suppose my method doesn't really work if they don't have a website though.

You can find out by emailing the venue. Whenever i've done that they've got back to me pretty quickly. If its a defineate 'no', then you won't waste a CD cover. Sometimes they give you a specific address aswell, like a certain office or to the stage door, which I guess reduces the chance of your let...

Yeah i've had a real lack of replies lately. I havn't really sent out very many letters, but I still would've thought that i'd sent out enough things before for me to get more than this. Just think of it like an elastic band though (my friend said this to me); we've sent lots of things out, so they ...

I like receiving things in the post.

At the moment, I havn't got anything for about a month, but I still know that theres a chance somethig might turn up.

I look forward to seeing if one of my SASE's has arrived, even if its usally just junkmail instead.

That is lucky! Much easier than trying to find IRC's or oredering something online. Just to let you know, it costs 42p to send something from here to Europe. You have to make up the 42p from the value of the stamps; First Class = 30p Second Class = 21p So depending on how many letters you're sending...
