I haven't tried it. Why wouldn't you have to include an IRC? Do you mean if an international film star comes to a talk show in your own country? Yeah I was thinking of doing it within the UK, so i would only need 2 stamps. You're right about the filming dates and stuff though - I hadn't even consid...

A different via venue question...

I was just wondering if anybody has ever tried writing via venue some place other than a film set, gig or theatre? I guess that doesn't really leave a lot of options, but I was thinking of like a TV Chat show. If you know a guest is going to be one beforehand, could you write to them there? I though...

I would say aim for it to arrive 2 or 3 days before the concert.

As for defineately getting something back...
Well i've written via venue 4 times I think, and got something back on 3 ocassions. Two of those were ultra quick, and one took a few months, so don't give up hope of getting something {up}

I sent a TTM the request to Tom Kenny via Voicestarz and he signed the picture which I sent. It was pretty quick (about a month), as I live in the UK so it had to travel back and forth over the Atlantic! Oh, and I just noticed you 'Trusted Member' thing....how'd do get it? I think a rosette might lo...

barmy, I sent a letter to Amy Brenneman last week, Tuesday, I think, C/O CAA... I'll be sure to let you know if I get anything from her. Thanks - it'll be good to know. I've only written to one person there, but I posted that from the UK about a month ago. I think that would put it right in the Chr...

My memory is a little vague, but I seem to remember once reading that CAA were bad at handling fanmail. Has anyone had a success writing via them?

I wrote to David Walliams and Matt Lucas ages ago via the BBC and didn't get anything back (as yet anyway).

Saying that, I didn't include a stamped-addressed envelope. Usually if I write to something at the BBC they pay for postage back, so this was the one time I didn't enclose any stamps :oops:

Well, the ones that I normally send are about 23cmx16cm. The 2 biggest pictures that I have received have both fitted in, so that should be ok.

To anyone who has received a PP from Studio Fanmail, I was just wondering what kind of thing you write in the email. Do you just say something similar to this; "I think _______ is a great actor. I liked their work in ______. Would it be possible for you to send me a photo to the following addre...
