I recently sent a package, (right around 8x10) to someone in canada, however instead of the IRC, i put regular US stamps on the Self addressed envelope. Will it not be accepted back into the US. or will it be postage due or what happens?

i sent to him about 6 months ago at the Dexter venue address and have been waiting / hoping for something to come back.
