Betty the dog??? Forgive me for asking... but how did you go about that? Its obviously not a signature, is it a paw print or something?

Great collection there, keep it up and your good work for charity.

I prefer to hand write my letterS and envelopes, in my personal opinion I feel that typed letters can be interpreted as generic letters (as they are often in a template style, taking just a couple of minutes to alter). I tend to use black or blue pen (as its easily visible). The main thing is: if it...

You definately do have to get them stamped -by the issuing post office- certainly in Australia anyway. I presume that its the same all over...

Good luck with your remaining IRC's... but remember in the future to get them stamped before mailing.

Best of luck with your colection,

It baffles me why some people think its so wrong to re-use an unmarked stamp!!! If anything it would be a crime to let an un-cancelled stamp go to waste (what with all the emphasis on recycling), if the postal service doesn't cancel your stamp that is their fault... your quite within your rights to ...

I have never had a problem in sending Index (or visiting) Cards, that is until lately... I wrote to a well known jockey and for some bizare reason he said that he wouldnt sign my 'pieces of cardboard' (as he called them), he would however sign and address a photograph if I sent it though... I found ...

I would hardly call forgetting to put a stamp on an envelope a criminal offence, nor would I consider willfully not putting one on a (serious) offence either!!! The post office should be vigilant enough to reject the envelope (lets face it, they are getting paid for their services!!!), surely the po...

Ian is right on that one... it should go to Italy and then France (unless there is a vigilant sorter in the post office in America), clearly the woman who served you was either tired and not thinking straight or just plain thick! I hope your letter reaches its desired location. All the best with you...

I tend to agree - writing 'Please reply' should not make your chances any higher, it could in fact work against you... The main thing is that you are patient and let the celeb reply in their own time, most of them lead busy lives and we must appreciate this. Hope you succeed with your reply and that...

Sounds like a cop out to me (excuse), cheating the fans out of an authentic signature, whats to stop her from hiring a secretary to sign them on her behalf over the internet? Ah well, I will be sure to never buy a book of her, given her attitude! Thats enough whinging for the day from me... All the ...

Certainly is 'jennyblue', and until there is an invention that teleports your parcels to your sender then 'snailmail' will be around for a very, very long time to come!

Best of luck with your collections,
