It shouldn't take extra "software". I haven't used phpBB in a long, long time, but auto-locking old topics is a feature included in many forum scripts, so I'd assume phpBB would have it too. Even if it doesn't, somebody has probably created a mod/hack/plugin for it.

It's interesting now that some of the high-profile sluggers are finally getting busted. I remember when the new drug policy went into effect, most of the players busted were just random nobodys you would've never suspected. Some were actually kinda funny, like Alex Sanchez, who had a career slugging...

Why not just auto-lock old topics?
Why not just set the forum to auto-lock old topics (say after a month or so?) in the Feedback section?
It just seems like that would be easier than having moderators manually lock an old topic after it has been revived.
