Re: Names

Have a look here for appropriate ettiquette on writing to titled people: http://www.debretts.co.uk/etiquette/correct_forms_of_address.html of course it is totally a matter of personal choice, but it seems to work for me! Hope this helps! Ian That's a very interesting and most helpful website. I hav...

I agree with you 150%. Not that the celebs haven't earned respect, but public office holders or those recognized by a government (Sir Ian McKellen for example) should be addressed with their proper titles. {up}

Thanks for the help but that's not exactly what I was after. :) Take Beverley Mitchell as an example. If you were writing to her would you start out: Dear Beverley or Dear Ms. Mitchell Maybe I'm being too anal about this and should go with my gut but since he has absolutely no clue as to who I am, e...

Proper way to address a celeb when writing

I've never written a celeb before, all the autographs I have are preprints from SFM, bought on eBay or obtained in person. When writing to a celeb, is it more proper to address them as "Mr. SoNso" or by their first name? The celeb I'm getting ready to write is 20 years my senior, however I...

Sometimes it is hard to tell whether one is real or not, not so much for pre-prints, but autopen autographs are sometimes very well done. Typically you can tell the difference between an autopen and the real thing because the autopens typically cause an even dent (for lack of a better word) in the s...

I got my Nick Cage autograph from SFM a month or so ago and it was for sure a preprint, the gloss over the photo was the same as the signature. These are the first ones done with autopen that I've seen and I found it amazing at how real they look. I still think they're great because they seem to be ...

Studio Fan Mail - Motherload of Autographs received

I got a load of autographs from Studio Fan Mail. Tim Allen's came in June, the rest came today. First up is Tim Allen. This autograph doesn't appear to be a pre-print but more like the autopen thing that I've read about. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/SHObizzy/autographs/TA.jpg http://img.ph...

I've also seen some users here offer to send jpg images via email that one could use to print out color or b&w photos if they have a color printer. You might consider throwing the question out there as there are a lot of helpful members here.
