I'm not sure what the success rate is, but I always ask for a personalized photo. Some celebs are skeptical of having their autographs sold on eBay and stuff, so in a way, it reassures them that you're not going to sell it. Some celebs don't personalize, others do. I'm not sure what the sizes are, b...

I don't think that they'd sign it right then and there. It's just like sending to an agency, in a way. The mail gets passed from the venue to the management (if the venue forwards fanmail) and it piles up to a time when the band has time to read letters.
