Re: Do you think...
I've had flowers sent to me for my b-day at the college campus I used to attend. Boy, I got nervous when an assistant tracked me down and gave me a note to go to the Dean's office; it reminded me of being called to the principal's office to be punnished. :lol: That was at a small community college, ...

Re: Autopen, stamp or no success
I'd rather have absolutely nothing at all than an autopen, stamp, preprint, whatever. To me a signature is something that comes from a person's hand. In the case of fanmail, that SHOULD come from the celeb's hand. Anything else (just to me, at least) is a sentimentally worthless copy and you might ...

Re: Johnny Depp?????????????????????
Lizanne, I'm getting excited!
I'd
to see some personalized successes from POTC 2 and 3. Please do search for that website. I wouldn't mind being proven wrong/ uninformed about this at all! {love}

Re: Johnny Depp?????????????????????
From what i've read, Johnny Depp used to be a very good signer TTM, but with all his success he can no longer send out authentics due to the sheer volume of requests. I fear that even if you write to him VV you'll get an autopen. I read he's still a very good IP signer, by the way. {up} Johnny is so...

Re: Help: Who is this gorgeous lady?
Compared to those of us in our 3o's and older, many members of this board are teens or even younger. Baring age, some people just make insensitive or rude comments. I was in a similiar situation where my fur was rubbed backwards by someone (a mod) implying that I wasn't a true Jane Seymour fan. :mad...

Re: Attitude of Celebs
I would gladly have a PP. Even a PP means for me that the actor or his agency care at least a bit... :D May be it wouldn't be a very valuable for collectioners , but for an ordinary fan like me it would means the world...*sigh* Half of me feels the same way about celebs like Demi Moore, Bruce Willi...

success rate
I've read some people's success rate on this forum. I was wondering how those who calculate their success rate do so. I mean, it would not be accurate to count the recently attemped ones as the celebs haven't had a chance to respond. How long do you wait until you factor in a no response yet as a fa...

Re: Attitude of Celebs
Ive no idea why but for me it's alot harder to write to someone for their autograph that i really want than writing to someone that i like generally for their autograph. I really want Jean Renos but i can't think of anything to say, i quite wanted Adam Hart-Davis' and i could barely fit all that i ...

Re: Attitude of Celebs
Ian, I see where you're coming from, I feel ya. ThanX for the tips. I think I display a healthy interest in/ knowledge of the celebs I write fan mail to (not just "You're so kewl, give me an autograph pul-leeze.") And I do send SASE's. I'm feeling much more confident that (at least most of...
