When I first started sending autograph requests, I would send them from my home mailbox. Its a pretty big mailbox, so autographs can fit inside it easily and not get bent. A while back I dropped off a few autograph requests into one of those uhh... I don't know what to call them... The blue mail box...

About how much do you think a 9x12 envelope, an 8x10 picture, another 9x12 SASE envelope, and a letter on plain old notebook/binder paper would weigh? I do not send out many autograph requests, and when I do I usually just do it from the post office. I used one of those ehh... whatever... mail boxes...

I always hand-write my letters. If you can't be bothered to write something why should the person you are sending too? At least that is the way I look at it.
