No problems!

I've had replies take a few months to come back. This includes ones that have come back from overseas when I have written to them when they were in Australia.

So, anything can happen. Good luck with your next request.

The postman told me : if your enveloppe is less than 20 gramms, you just have to put 1 IRC. But if it is over ( less than 40), add 2 IRCs.. That is generally correct. However, just note that some countries have slightly different envelope weight guidelines for the number of IRC's required. For exam...

I think he is trying to say: that someone else found his letter, took the pictures out of the envelope and tried to sign them pretending to be that celebrity and then sent them back to him. And he's annoyed because these pictures were really valuable. I think I got it right XD I think that sounds a...

Now, they are going back on tour with Def Leppard on October 22, and I want to do something - I am on the west coast and their first 3 shows are Nev, Wash and Idaho --- Should I attempt (considering my possible failure) to send to all 3 of those places with the same pic with maybe a letter of expla...

I don't think one will be enough. You probably needed to send at least two. If you are expecting 8x10 photos back, you will need 2 IRC's (3 to be safe). This is because 1 IRC will cover postage on a standard letter. As 8x10 photos are sent in the larger envelopes it will cost at least double the po...

I didn't really know who Anthony LaPaglia was (have never watched his movies), therefore, i didn't prepare a photo for him to sign. You must be the girl who stood right at the entry. I think you were the only one who asked for so many autographs on that night. Besides Geoffrey Rush, i hardly know a...

Hi awesome success! Do you think if I send a letter to them today will it work, is the address still valid? The address I posted to is no longer valid. They are still touring so you should work out which of the venues they are still to be performing at to write to (and time your request appropriate...

Have you manage to get photos with any of them? I only got a photo with Geoffrey Rush. I asked Quentin for a photo and he politely declined and said he was only taking media photos. However, he did also mention that I was free to take photos of him as he walked the red carpet. I saw Geoffrey Rush o...

Thanks! I was quite suprised when I received the envelope as I knew it was from one of my older requests.

This is now my longest wait for a success so far!

Hi everyone :D Last Sunday (2 August 2009), the Melbourne premiere of Inglourious Basterds was held at the Forum Theatre as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF). I attended and managed to get autographs from Quentin Tarantino, Diane Kruger and Geoffrey Rush. I missed out on getti...

Hi everyone :D On the 24th of July I attended the World Premiere of Anthony LaPaglia's new film Balibo as part of the opening of the 2009 Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF). The premiere was held at Hamer Hall in Melbourne. There were a number of celebrities and VIP's attending, including ...

Hi everyone :D I'm quite excited to receive this VV request back. Coldplay is my favourite band! I wrote to them while they were in Australia for their Viva La Vida tour in February/March this year. I sent along a 8 x 10 photo and received it back signed by the band. It looks like my fan mail travel...

Hi everyone :D Apologies for taking my time in posting this success. I was very suprised to get it back considering it took almost 2 years! I sent him 2 photos, letter and SASE and received both photos back signed. He signed the back of one of the photos (from Black Hawk Down ). Photos: http://i...

I (almost) always send 2. It's a nice even number :)

Any more than 3 and whomever you're sending the request to may think you're a bit greedy.

Sometimes it can take a long time to get a reply. The key to this hobby is patience. I think the recommended waiting time before re-sending is a year. I totally agree! I have had a success come back recently and it took almost 2 years! xBethany ... who did you send your requests to? Have ther...
