I sent a SSAE with some, just a letter with others and have had a great success rate so far - 40% say with just a letter have replied, whilst 60% with a SSAE. Hi guys 
For sure Shayne does sign authentically as I have had several signed photos from him, and also a couple of CD's.
You just need to compare your successes with each other!! I am suspwecting they are authentic . . .
