Hello Ian, You have been so helpful with all of this. I sent a SSAE with some, just a letter with others and have had a great success rate so far - 40% say with just a letter have replied, whilst 60% with a SSAE. The items are on eBay now - search WBEC - I hope they sell well. Cal Fantastic, I'll h...

Really, I thought they would be common place as I obtained them easily! Everything is underway at the moment, and I am thinking these have raised nearly £1000, so far. This has really helped, the trip has been saved! - we were really surcharged heavily due to the collapse of sterling against the do...

Hi charmainey {up} Fantasticly quick success! Thanks for posting the pics, but we do need to see the envelope properly as well ;-) Even if you obscure your own address details (and you should!) we still need to see the stamps/postmark etc to confirm the received date, sent from details etc. Please r...

Hi all {up} I think the chat feature was possibly one of the worst ever additions to this website. I for one am glad it's gone. I can understand that discussion-type areas are useful, but this feature was in my opinion a great mistake. If you want to chat to friends, use IM etc etc. If you want to t...

Rather than start another collection charity for leukaemia, why not contact an existing one and help collect for that?

Best of luck,

Hi Gerard_Butler_Fan {up} Thanks for your post, and great to hear you want to collect for charity {thumb2} Without wanting to put you off, the problem I think you are going to have is that most celebs/agents will gladly donate for a registered charity, but because you want to collect for a family wh...

Hi lobbylou4 {up} All great advice :D However, what I would try and do is to encourage the celeb / agent to supply a letter or note to support the item. A little trick here is to explain all about the charity you are collecting for, and why you are asking for an item. Often then (about 60% of the ti...
