Wow, i've missed a lot. I agree with most everyone in this thread, TSP is not fit to be a TM. As someone has stated well before, he knows a lot about broadway but thinks he's the only one who knows anything. He's always been rude, and just the fact he drove a new member away from the boards is a sign that he's not fit to even be considered as a TM.

Thank you Shaun! {thumb2} I know he's been pm'ed before about his behaviour, but he just continued being rude. {down} He was even demoted before, and then returned as a TM, but I've demoted him again after this topic. {up} So it seems it didn't help pm'ing him, as he didn't change his rude behaviour towards others. :?

Hi Chrissy, Larisie and Selise! ;-)

Thank you very much for your input and help in this matter. {thumb2} I appreciate it that I don't have to deal with this all by myself and that you guys back me! :D

It seems that Dallayce is a very sensitive person and that's exactly my problem with TSP - you can't just go around, being aggressive and always ready to have a go at someone. You can't just say anything because you don't know the other people online personally and their personal situations/life. And the fact that TSP is a TM is really worrying in my opinion. :?

Since half of you think that TSP should get demoted, I'm going to do so and just inform admin. It's worrying to me that TSP was a TM on admin's team in the first place, as he's not TM material at all in my opinion.

Thanks again!

I haven't got anything more to say than what all of you have. I basically agree with everyone here in saying that TSP should be demoted!

Hey Zanne!

Sorry it has taken me so long to put in my thoughts about this. Things have been so hectic around here that i never have time to sit and write my thoughts down in one whole go without me having to go to work or the new puppy coming in chewing away at all my shoes and clothes.

I have to agree with Selise and your thoughts also. I find that TSP can be very agressive at times especially to some of the newer members. There is NEVER an excuse for a TM of all people to be aggressive or rude to other members. And TSP has been quite stubborn and aggressive i find to a lot of people not only Nightowl. I find that if you know information and share it about Broadway or theater in general, TSP has some sort of flip out or tantrum like a little child. It's like no one can known more than her or as much as her without her wanting to put people down. To me its like online abuse and i can see why Nightowl got so upset. It's really an uncomfortable thing to be attacked by a person who doesn't know you or known your tone. I think the whole argument went way out of control and that TSP should have been a little more considerate and maybe asked Nightowl what she meant.

I also do agree that both sides went way over board. But i can see why. I don't think TSP should be banned. There are way worse members here that should be banned and aren't so i really see no reason to ban TSP. But a demotion is in order again as i see TSP has not learned the lesson at all. As soon as we give TSP more power it's all over and it seems like TSP takes over. I never understood why TSP was promoted again.

Well thats my two cents.

Chrissy :D

Well, I don't really think that I have to say I'm not a fan of TheScarletPimpernel. He is knowledgeable (to an extent) about Broadway, but again, he doesn't own it - and nor does he know all the ins and outs of how it works.

Sure there are plenty of people here who write to someone they're not a fan of to get an autograph - but in some cases, some celebs will only sign a cast-signed Playbill. and those same celebs WON"T sign a Playbill if you address the envelope just to them. (Example - Katie Holmes, John Lithgow, Antonio Banderas) With Banderas you'll get an AP'd playbill. (Been there, done that). HOWEVER, if you write to the stage manager of those shows, chances are you'll get authentic autos from those celebs.

I do understand where nightowl was coming from - and I think she has a very valid point. Why shouldn't people write to the stage manager for a signed playbill if they're a fan of one star? In their letters the person can ask that only that one celeb sign a playbill. More than likely though the stage manager will just have the cast sign instead of just one person.

I also see TheScarletPimpernel's point - where it's not fair that some people are writing to these shows to "boost their autograph counts" or selling said playbills on Ebay. I agree, that's not fair.

HOWEVER - I think Dallayce is a lovely person, she's super knowledgeable about writing VV, she gives great advice and she's always been willing to help members. I hope she doesn't leave because it would be a tremendous loss to this community. Personally, I think Dallayce has a right to be upset - it did seem like he was having a go at her (I would have taken it that way too) and I think that someone needs to just tell TheScarletPimpernel to tone his posts down. He is a part of a team, and teams need to work together for the good of the whole.

I'm not sure TSP is a team player or not.

The usual rant from Greg (TheScarletPimpernel) is fully justified in my opinion. Why are people writing for signed playbills of shows they never saw, don't want to see, know nothing of anyone in them, etc.

Nightowl said "You could request a cast signed playbill from the Stage Mananger," which is bad advice and what got Greg "mad".

Greg is protective of Broadway because so many request to Broadway theatres are ruining the hobby he enjoys and loves.

Same thing as when people have autographs of people they don't know and ask who it is and everyone gets mad :? .
Yes, but that's not a good reason to be rude - Greg doesn't own Broadway. And to be frank here, it's very easy to obtain info about shows and Broadway - he's not really something "special" as in my opinion, Selise and BABii_ANG3L know a LOT more than him. And if people want to write to a show only because of one actor, then why not? If they like someone, they may write - it's not their fault they don't know who the rest are!

Again, there's never a reason to be rude - I always try to avoid fights, but I know sometimes it's difficult. But Greg is just plain rude, I mean, pm'ing new members to tell them their favourite actor is stupid?!
ozzman wrote:My opinion is they both overeacted. TheScarletPimpernel could have been more polite and Nightowl should have checked the facts a little more. As for TheScarletPimpernel I have never really been a fan of his. I have had run ins with him with his attitude before. But since he is on admins team now, it should be brought to his attention and he will have the final say. I doubt anythingwill come of it though.
Thanks, ozzman - I do agree with you 100%. I've tried telling nightowl that it's not so bad, but then again, I don't want to be the cause of her leaving Fanmail.biz! So I am trying very hard to be neutral here. I'll pm her once again and explain things,and what you guys think. Then I'll pm admin and how him this topic so he can just keep a eye on TheScarletPimpernel. {up}

Thanks al!!

My opinion is they both overeacted. TheScarletPimpernel could have been more polite and Nightowl should have checked the facts a little more. As for TheScarletPimpernel I have never really been a fan of his. I have had run ins with him with his attitude before.
