I think history will show that he is probably the greatest celebrity autograph signers. He was at a convention in Maryland recently and his female friend stated how he loved to write on the photos.

On 10th December 2013, I wrote to Ed Asner at the address in the db (Quince Productions Inc), sending an LOR, a photo and a little Christmas card I had made for him. Today, Dec 31st 2013 I received a reply. He personalised the one I sent with a great inscription..."how can I make you a prince when you are already a King?"...my surname is King you see lol. He also added a post it note to the top, saying how his cat damaged the picture (and an English cat at that!) and he had enclosed another photo to make up for it. He also sent back the Christmas card I made and added a message on the front, telling me I was still on the naughty list!

Thankyou so much Ed, a wonderful way to end 2013 for me. You sir, are a true legend.
