Claire Byrne is a broadcaster employed by Ireland's RTÉ network. Originally from Laois, (in the Irish Midlands) she previously worked in the news division of rival station TV3, then did a stint on breakfast television as a presenter. She later did a stint with radio station Newstalk, a job she maintained while also working on a daily magazine programme on RTÉ Television. She now hosts a weekly radio show on Saturday afternoon on RTÉ Radio One.
