Macdara O' Fatharta is an Irish actor. He is best known for his acting role as Tadhg O'Direan in the Irish language soap opera Ros Na Rún, which is shown on Ireland's TG4 channel. He is married to Eileen Dunne, a newswoman with RTÉ.
His character on Ros Na Rún, Tadhg, is a smarmy villain of the highest order. He is a local publican and chief bartender of the local pub, "Tigh Taidhg". He also works as an undertaker. Just most recently Tadhg was involved in a shady land deal. Most of the time he and a regular at his pub, an old man named Seamus, would always be seen conversing.
