Shaun, I gotta presume you're taking the piss with this one.

If you could explain to me why you used an IRC for domestic mail return, and quite why you suddenly don't have access to UK stamps, I'd be most interested to know ;)

True, fans are the only reason celebrities are successful. But Richard isn't a celebrity, he is an actor. He acts for money - that's it... He isn't acting for the fans, I sure he appreciates the fans but they aren't making him money but the movie studios are.
Movie studios are, because fans want to see him on the sceen. Without them he wouldn't be popular and he wouldn't get a money for his job. It's a circle.

Mr. Griffiths is a great actor and in the most cases a really nice man. It should be a pleasure to write him a nice (!!!) letter and to send him a stamped envelope.

It's not to offend you, shaun. You did send an IRC and thats mostly ok. But on fanmail.biz I read very often that autograph collectors want to get an angry note from Mr. Griffiths. And this is something I really don't can understand. Nobody needs to make another person angry.
I can't understand why its okay to send your fans rude and angry replies back. His fans are the reason he's rich and famous, and he disrespects them. I can understand him being annoyed when people don't send an sase, but to go out of your way to be an asshole to your fans who took the time to write you is uncalled for....
I totally agree! In reality, fans are the only reason celebrities are successful.

What sort of things does he write in the Angry reply?

Richard has asked for years to use stamps because he doesn't have time to run to the post office so I see nothing wrong with rude letters as people still won't listen. If it was Daniel or Emma then people would find a way to get stamps.

Rude to send you a letter like that {down} ICR's are not for sale either in The Netherlands. I always try to provide stamps but that is not always possible (for example I can't buy Canadian stamps) He could have ignore your letter.

But honestly I'm against LOR and especially when It has such a little note. If an actor takes the time to sign your photo's then the least you can do is putting down a few kind words on a piece of paper. That´s way I think about it. I Always write a letter and I have no trouble doing so because I only write people that I really admire. I know LOR are very popular around here and I guess it depends how you write them.
