I had seen someone else who had sent $35 for the signature. I don't think there is a set amount, but the money goes to his charity.

I've seen several successes for as low as $30-35 for a baseball.

On 3/22/12 I sent a letter, card, baseball, sharpie, SASE and $50 to Reggie Jackson hoping he would sign both. My son has been watching some old DVDs with Mr October in it and he really likes Reggie Jackson. So I figured this autograph was worth paying for, something I rarely have done. I sent it to Mr October's Foundation for Kids, 500 Valenzuela, Carmel CA 93923-9439 and received a letter from the foundation on 3/30/12 informing me that Mr Jackson was at Spring Training and would sign the ball when he returned. They also sent my card back unsigned and the letter stated that donation of $40 are not accepted, so a $10 bill was also in the envelope. on 4/3/12, the baseball arrived in the SASE addressed to my son and was signed by Mr. Jackson. Definitely one he will treasure for a long time and will go beside his Buster Posey autographed ball. I'm having problems with the scanner, so I don't know if I will get a pic posted or not.
