Ive been collecting for 15-20 yrs and Ive seen the same person sign almost completely differently many times. In 1 day I got Adam Richman, his first autograph was like all the others you see online. By the end of the day, I asked for 1 more and it was totally different. There is no proof on TTM so do your comparisons and hopefully you'll have a better/worse gut feeling. I'm waiting for mine too!
Thanks peenit for your advice
Lol I don't wish to come across as the grinch, but there is no way that auto is real :(
No problem Jaffer, I understand. I was just so excited back when I first got it and dismissed the proof given that it was fake because nobody signs their name the same 100% of the time. Fast forward to now, I come to realize that the similarities in the signature I received is minimum compared to the 2 examples provided.

I remember even when Rihanna was just an opening act for the Pussycat Dolls' tour over here she'd behave worse than Madonna did at her best times. Even back then she would hardly sign 1 photo each and when I met her again in late 2007 it was the same. She kept all the photos she liked (in my case it was a photo by Ellen von Unwerth that I had brought along with the posted one) and put them in her bag. Then she signed one photo each, but you really had to beg her for.
Rihanna's a spoiled brat that doesn't know how to behave. And she's been a terrible in person signer ever since the release & success of "Pon de Replay" back in 2005.

@paleo007:
1) A simple Google search would have shown you that there are dozens of private websites publishing book and record signings. There are all easy to find!
2) You were asking for advise on the item you got back. You were given the advise by two members (incl. me showing my IP success) that the item had indeed not been signed by Rihanna and still you don't want to face the truth, but wait for your 2nd VV request to Rihanna to arrive. Hello? What kind of attitude is that?!? Are you collecting photos or are you collecting autographs? My advise to you: next time, simply believe whatever you want to believe and do not ask for other member's opinion/advice on authenticity again.
Thanks for your advice RSVP

Also follow social networking sites like twitter & facebook, find the official accounts of the artisits you like and follow.

This is how I found out about the last 3 in person appearances I attended....
Twitter gives me a headache, would rather follow them on fb but again I dont feel like continuously looking there like some kinda of fb junkie. Why cant they simply post their appearances on their website or do it when they are on tour?
Websites are harder & more work to update. Facebook & twitter take a few minutes. One of the in person events I attended was only announced on twitter Wednesday for THAT Saturday!

Twitter should not 'give you a headache' if you only follow the celebs you are really interested in & ONLY their official twitter not fan pages etc.... The last 3 in person events I went to there was nothing even online if you used that persons name & searched - it was a twitter post only. With twitter & facebook they know how many people are following them and that those numbers will be reached by posting.

Its just advice as I have now been to 3 events I would not have known about because of twitter & ended up exchanging private messages with 4 other celebs who followed me back and have either sent me an autograph or supplied me with an address to contact them. One even asked for my email address & we have exchanged several emails.
I am not trying to 'show off by saying this' I am just honestly saying I have had some great success with twitter. you would be amazed BUT some of these people like to connect with their fans.
Gotcha and I never think u are showing off.
