I just finished reading Breaking Dawn last night
It was very different from the other three books and in a way I kinda enjoyed that. This book is not about the two of them wanting to be with each other but have to keep the distance. That part is over with - we know they belong to each other and they have by now both accepted it.
The interesting part is starting on a new life as a team. As all the other problems start to develop. There is no such thing as happily ever after and even when you think you've accheived it new things will always surface and threaten what you've got.
My likes and dislikes...
Likes:
I liked how Bella was more powerful than Edward. I would have kicked his but just for the fun of it
I liked how she had to be the more careful one.
I loved her power! Even though she didn't consider it a real power it gives her exactely what she wants: the power to protect her loved ones.
The disappearing of Alice... I think I liked that too... Just because it's a different kind of fight that we're used to seeing them do. To retreat was also a form of fighting...
Deslikes:
That Renee wasn't more involved in the story... How can she just be blacked out like that...
Jacob imprinting on Nessie... That was a very easy way to deal with his problems, I think.
Just how FAST was Charlie to accept Bella's new life...? Didn't seem very realistic to me
I liked Nessie and she seems adorable but just how fast was the change from creepy monster to heartwarming little princess?
The fight that didn't take place... Huge thumbs down. I was in the mood for at least a few good people losing their lives! *lol*
The other half human half vampire boy... I didn't like how Alice just pulled him out of her sleeve when needed... It seemed too convinient. I did however like how he saw his own mother in Bella.
I probably have more but I can't think of them at the moment...
