I wouldnt, but a lot of people do. Especially when it comes to emails. (Which gets the emails shut down and ruins it for the REAL fans of that celeb)

I dont understand why people would want autos from people they aren't a fan of. It makes NO sense whatsoever.

I would never do that. All my photos go on my wall and i love each and every one of them. If someone told me to give one away i would find it very hard to chose between them, plus is it fair to send to celebs you dont really like or know?It just means the real fans have less chance of getting a response. I wouldnt really think of bad of people that did it but i dont prticularily think its a good thing to do, shows your colleting either for money or for the hell of it which is not the passion that is ment in auto collecting !

I wouldn't write to people I barely know! I'd try to learn some things more about them and then maybe send them a fan letter!
f.e. actors...I wouldn't write to someone that I've seen in ONLY one movie!

I think as long as you are nice to the celeb it's okay. I just sent out a batch of Doctor Who requests for different stars throughout the series run and that's alot! But my plan is to make a scrapbook of sorts for my hubby and his father who are HUGE Doctor Who fanatics! So I don't even know half of these people I have written but I have a plan, lol

If I write to someone through the mail, I am a true and genuine fan. However, if I see an e-mail address for a star who I know of, I'll do that too. I wouldn't write them an actual letter, because I put a lot of time and thought in my letter. But I don't think it's bad thing to boost the ol' collection through e-mail. maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I feel.

Hi,
I write to celebs
-I'm a fan of .
-celebs who peoples of my family are fans from (I give them autographs as a present)
-and historical important people(presidents,or last survivors for example Millvina Dean)
The most autographs I've got in my counter aren't mine anymore,I've given them away as a present!

Kind regards,
PAtrick

well i own autographs of people i dont know but thats because those are my dads autographs( he was a ttm collector as a kid but didnt write that many he wrote to a few hockey players he doesent have any of that stuff any more but you gotta remenber these are before top loaders and such. anyway my input is you dont have to be as big of a fan as someone else you send who your are extreme fans of as long as your a fan i feel its ok like me and letterman i am fan i watch his show a lot and as much as i want his autograph i want miley cyrus more.
