8X10s look great with signatures but they need a larger envelope so they cost more. I send an 8X10 in an 9X12 envelope which generally need $1.20 in stamps. I use those for more certain requests since I don't want to lose money.

The majority of my requests I use 4X6 photos as that only takes a .60 stamp on a 6X9 envelope.

What is the best size of photo to send in a letter to be autographed? I read that collectors prefer 8 x 10 inches (20 x 25 cm) but that seems way too large to send in a letter? Can it be any size?
