It depends who you wrote. Some people will respond but some don’t. I generally wait a year between letters unless it is a temporary venue.

Generally it is better to send your own photos but I have had times where they have sent their own but I think these days its easier to send your own.

Back in February of this year, I started sending fan letters for the first time. At that point I was not aware that you are supposed to include your own photos for the person to autograph, so I sent a few letters requesting autographs (including a self addressed envelope for return) without including photos. Are they still likely to respond and I should just wait and see, or should I resend letters including a photo?
